An Encouraging Word

Greetings, Friends of Shiloh Ministries: We were visited by a pastor last week and the Lord gave us a word for that pastor. It was a powerful message that we realized can benefit many of us, so we’re forwarding it in hopes it will bless you: God loves people who are eager. He said, “I’ve had enough of people who are just doing a job. Why do people call them hirelings if I didn’t hire them? Because they are looking to the Church to pay them and not Me. “So when I get a live one like you, I want to break them in early and teach them to look to Me as their source. Don’t ever think of yourself when you take an offering and you’ll never wonder why you are in ministry. Be My megaphone. Spend time with Me and listen. Be still and sense how I move your spirit. Ask for and expect revelation when you read My Word, and never let busyness get in the way of your time with Me. “Don’t let people tickle your ego. You’ll be tempted to see yourself differently than I do if you look to men for exaltation. If you really want to be a leader, learn how to give up your rights and be a servant, and you’ll be just like Me. “Put your heart on the altar and let Me incinerate it. Then I will give you a heart that really seeks for Me, and your joy will know no boundaries. The more you give up, the more I can use you. “Be honest with yourself and you’ll be honest with Me. Don’t ever be afraid of making Me mad. See Me as your Daddy who is proud of you, and then when people look at you they will see Me. “Remember that ministry is a low station. It’s not about prestige and it’s not about wealth, and if you forsake those thoughts you will never go without. Tell Me everything. Don’t hold back. Make yourself empty so I can fill you and you will always have a well from which to draw water. “Be mindful of the times you are entering. Deceptions are on the rise. People are looking but they don’t know what they are looking for. If you make your sanctuary My house, I will abide there. And when men come in to look for Me, they will find what they are looking for.” PLEASE NOTE: Destiny Christian Church in Dover will hold the East Coast Prophetic Gathering from Thursday, October 8 through Saturday, October 10. FUTURE EVENTS: We have no Shiloh meetings scheduled at present. Barbara and I plan to conduct a prayer journey all the way around the bay during the last two weekends in September (details to come later). Then, after she returns from a ministry trip to the Midwest, we hope to hold a meeting in Redemption Depot to seal this prayer journey. We’re tentatively planning it after church on Sunday, October 11, the day following the East Coast Prophetic Gathering. We’ll keep you posted.
